The round-up pledge
You donate the change from your own sales. Nothing changes at checkout, customers are never asked, and your signage is how they hear about it. It fits high-volume counters and any business that wants giving with zero friction.
The customer-pays ask
Your customers add a $1, $5, or $10 donation, offered at the counter or in your online cart where supported, and it shows on their receipt. It fits counters with a conversation in them - and customers who want their own name on the gift.
Which fits which counter
High-volume, low-ticket counters - coffee, quick lunch, corner retail - get the most from the pledge, because the change adds up fastest where transactions never stop. Table service and specialty shops, where there is already a conversation at the register, carry the ask well. Online stores can run the pledge everywhere, and the cart ask on platforms that support it.
Plenty of businesses start on the pledge and add the ask once the signage has been up a while and customers start asking about it.
Switching
The mode is a switch in Settings and takes effect right away. Choose the ask and the donation buttons are set up on your platform: on Square and Shopify we create them for you, and on Stripe your setup guide walks you through adding a Donation product to your checkout.
